Are you a waiter who loves busy shifts? A modern Asian restaurant in central Christchurch, New Zealand, wants four experienced people for its team. The dining room has its own aquarium, and guests come for good food and friendly service.
Each day you welcome guests and explain the menu. You carry orders to tables, take payments and keep tables clean. You also follow the alcohol rules for the venue.
The job is full-time and permanent. You work at least 30 hours a week, and you work nights, weekends and the busy summer months.
The restaurant has approval as an accredited employer, so it can sponsor staff. It can help you through the immigration process if required.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and explain menu items
- Take orders and carry them to tables
- Put orders into the POS and take cash or card payments
- Clear and set tables and clean the restaurant
- Follow NZ liquor laws and work with managers and guests on licence rules
- Join regular training on drinks, food and service, and finish the modules
- Promote the menu and services the restaurant way
- Help guests enjoy their visit
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least six months of experience in a similar role, or a Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification
- Good knowledge of NZ liquor laws
- Able to work nights, weekends and the busy summer months, and motivated to work hard and learn the restaurant's offerings and service standards
