Cookie Policy

1. What cookies and browser storage are

A cookie is a small piece of text that a website saves in your browser. Browsers also have other storage areas, named sessionStorage, localStorage and IndexedDB. Websites use them to remember things, for example a login or your settings. Some websites also use them to follow you for ads or statistics. We do not.

2. Cookies we set

None. jobsabroad.id sets no cookies. It also has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking tools.

3. What your browser keeps for this site

• chunk_reload_at (sessionStorage). A time value. If we update the site while your page is open, it lets the page reload once so it keeps working. It contains nothing about you. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
• saved_jobs (localStorage). The numbers of the jobs you saved, so your saved jobs page can show them. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. It remains until you remove the jobs or clear the data for our site.

What this means for you: both values help the site work for you. Neither one is used to follow you.

4. Storage on the staff admin page

Our private admin page is only for our team. On that page, Firebase Authentication (a Google service) keeps the staff sign-in session in IndexedDB or localStorage. It also keeps the sign-in email address in localStorage. Normal visitors do not use that page, so this does not affect your browser.

5. Outside services

• Google Fonts. Our text fonts load from Google. Google therefore receives your IP address and browser details.
• YouTube preview images. Video thumbnails load from i.ytimg.com.
• YouTube player. The video player loads from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press play. After that, YouTube may store data on your device under Google's policies.
• Share buttons and WhatsApp links. The WhatsApp, Facebook and LinkedIn share buttons, and our WhatsApp links, do nothing until you click them. After a click, that company's rules apply.

Sites we link to, like buildaicv.com, talenttabloid.com and government websites, have their own cookie rules.

6. Why you see no cookie banner

A cookie banner asks for your consent to things like tracking. We have nothing that needs your consent, so we do not show a banner.

7. Your choices

Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies and stored data, for all sites or only for ours. A private window removes its data when you close it.

The public site still works if you block storage. You can search and apply as usual. However, without localStorage your saved jobs list cannot be kept.

8. Changes to this policy

If we ever add something new that stores data in your browser, we will update this page and the date at the top. Our Privacy Policy gives the full picture.
