Do you love leading a kitchen? A hotel in Brisbane, Australia, is looking for a Head Chef. This chef will also be the Kitchen Manager. You will plan menus, lead the team and keep the kitchen running well.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the chefs and kitchen attendants
- Train and support the team and keep a friendly, professional kitchen
- Plan modern Australian menus for the bistro, bar and events
- Work out menu costs and keep every plate looking the same
- Plan event catering with the functions team: prep, staff and serving times
- Control buying, stock, food costs, staff hours and waste within the budget
- Follow strict rules for food safety, hygiene, allergens and WHS
- Cook during service and keep the kitchen neat and calm when it is busy
Requirements & Eligibility
- Work history as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
- Strong experience in hotel dining and in high-volume functions or banqueting
- Good cooking skills and sound financial judgement
- Able to run busy meal services and large events at the same time
- Clear communication, a practical style and wanting to help your team grow
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Supervisor certification
