Do you have experience managing a hotel or hostel? A company with hostels, hotel-hostel stays and food and beverage venues in Australia and New Zealand is opening a big new property in Auckland, New Zealand. It wants a General Manager.
You will lead the whole property. The heads of Host, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance report to you. You care for guests and the team, and you manage the money and compliance.
The company hopes the new General Manager can start in January 2027. The opening is planned for March. So you will help set things up before guests come. Please add a cover letter.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the property and the heads of Host, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance
- Care for the guest experience, team culture, money results, standards and compliance
- Work with the wider team to prepare the property and its leadership team before opening, and build the culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience running a busy hotel or hostel operation
- Understanding of lodging, yield management and what drives commercial performance
- Comfortable with budgets, labour, revenue and cost control
- Some food and beverage exposure, ideally across bars, restaurants or busy social venues
- Knowledge of the Auckland hospitality and lodging scene is helpful but not essential
