Do you like helping customers and working with vehicles? A vehicle rental branch in Queenstown, New Zealand wants a Customer Service / Groomer. A groomer here cleans the rental vehicles, not pets, and makes them ready to go.
You will pick up the phone, answer questions and give advice. You will also make quotes and contracts. Your customers travel for business, commercial work or recreation. The team is small and hardworking. Everyone helps in every area of the branch.
The job is permanent and full time. You work 40 hours per week on a roster. The branch opens at 8.00am and closes at 5.00pm from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays it closes at 1.00pm. About sponsorship, the employer says this. It would ideally recruit suitable and available NZ workers. It is also an Accredited Employer with Immigration NZ. So it can consider candidates who require a work visa if it cannot make that appointment.

Key Responsibilities
- Answer the phones
- Give sales advice and quotes to customers
- Make contracts and complete transactions
- Coordinate vehicle deliveries and pick-ups
- Deliver vehicles to customers or pick them up
- Do office administration and look after customer accounts
- Keep the branch vehicles and rental fleet groomed to the highest standards
- Make sure all necessary compliance checks are done
- Help find and escalate repair and maintenance issues, and manage maintenance and damages as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence, or an overseas equivalent
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Past experience in customer-facing service. Ideally this is from the vehicle rental industry, but that is not essential
- Past grooming experience is preferred, but not essential
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills and a confident phone manner
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
