Do you enjoy cooking food with big, bold flavours? A modern Asian restaurant in Perth wants an experienced Chef de Partie or Commis Chef. The restaurant has won awards. Its kitchen team is already successful.
The kitchen is busy. It opens seven days a week for lunch and dinner. It serves more than 1,000 covers each week. The restaurant is part of a hospitality precinct. One shared kitchen cooks for several venues there, so the work changes from day to day. Senior chefs like to teach. They want to train and develop the next kitchen leaders. Sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook exceptional food that stays consistent in every service
- Follow the recipes of senior chefs
- Follow the directions of managers and senior chefs
- Work on many sections, for example pans, wok, fryers, larder and grill
- Work on your own in a fast and busy, high-volume kitchen
- Help the shared kitchen that cooks for several venues in the precinct
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years working as a chef in a fast-paced kitchen with high volume
- Experience that is relevant to the job you apply for
- Asian cuisine experience is preferred but not essential
- A commercial cookery certificate
- Able to work flexible hours on weekends and public holidays, with drive and a willingness to grow into a leadership role
