Do you enjoy cooking with fresh local food? A popular restaurant in Canberra needs a Chef. This is a full-time job. The restaurant is known for creative dishes and good service. It uses sustainable food from local farms.
In this job you cook many different dishes. You look after your own station. You work with the Head Chef on new menu ideas. You also help young cooks learn. Clean and safe food handling is very important here. The restaurant says sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
You will join team meetings and training too.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook many types of creative dishes and make them look good
- Keep food quality, presentation and service very high
- Work with the Head Chef on new menu items and better recipes
- Follow all food safety and hygiene rules strictly
- Take care of your own station, help the kitchen run well, teach junior kitchen staff and join regular team meetings and training sessions
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years of work as a Chef in a fast and high-quality restaurant
- Formal culinary training or a relevant hospitality qualification
- Excellent cooking skills, with close attention to detail and presentation
- Thorough knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A passion for seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and the ability to adapt and do well in a busy, high-pressure kitchen
