Do you love to cook and want to lead a team? A hotel in regional northern Victoria needs a Chef. The closest big city is Bendigo, VIC.
You will lead each kitchen team. Your manager is the Venue Manager. The hotel wants fresh food ideas from many types of cuisine. Experience in big, busy kitchens or functions is a plus. Sponsorship is available for this job.

Key Responsibilities
- Make and update menus
- Check food quality and manage cooking
- Count food costs and plan staff hours and labour costs
- Follow standards from top management and meet the kitchen KPIs
- Help hire, welcome and train kitchen staff
- Talk well with managers and the team
- Keep everything clean, hygienic and safe
- Lead the cooks in each shift
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar high-volume venue
- Cert III or Cert IV in Cookery
- A high degree of professionalism
- Strong knowledge of how kitchens operate, with a focus on food quality and presentation
- Sound financial skills to manage kitchen costs
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership to manage a multi-faceted kitchen as a hands-on leader who coaches and motivates the team
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Proven problem-solving capability and the ability to build a team environment across the whole venue
