Do you cook for a living? This job may suit you. A tourist park in Port Hedland, Western Australia, is growing. It is looking for a cook or chef with experience. The right person is reliable, works hard and enjoys preparing quality food.
The job is full-time. You work 5 or 6 days per week. You and the employer agree on which. It is not FIFO work, so you will live in the town. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate. You also complete a medical before you start. It includes a drug and alcohol test.

Key Responsibilities
- Get ingredients ready and cook meals to a high standard
- Keep the taste and quality of the food the same each day
- Serve the correct portion and present every dish nicely
- Follow all food safety and hygiene rules
- Do the cleaning jobs the kitchen needs
- Help check stock, order new stock and rotate it
- Keep your kitchen clean, tidy and safe
- Try not to waste food, and help the kitchen work efficiently
- Be a good team player when it is busy, and help with food prep and service when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in a past job as a cook or chef
- A good understanding of how kitchens operate and of food safety
- Ability to make high-quality meals that stay consistent
- Reliable, and able to do the work under pressure
- Good skills in communication and teamwork
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic, and willing to live and work locally
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery preferred. Relevant experience may be considered instead of formal qualifications. Food Safety Certificate preferred
- A pre-employment medical. It includes a drug and alcohol test
