Your main tasks are easy to list. First, you look at buildings and say what condition they are in. Next, you do technical due diligence, which means checking a property carefully before a client decides on it. You also write make good reports (also called dilapidations reports) and give advice about property.
Clients include owners, investors, insurers and the people who use the buildings. You will see many kinds of property: offices, shops, industrial sites and other assets.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Degree in Building Surveying (UK), Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years' experience in building consultancy, surveying or property advisory
- Strong skills in inspection, investigation and problem-solving
- Can prepare clear, concise and technically robust reports, and feels confident talking with clients and industry professionals
- MRICS or a similar professional accreditation (or working towards it) is highly regarded
