Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and plan nursing care using accepted nursing practice and standards
- Implement the nursing care and evaluate it
- Consult other health professionals and coordinate patient care in healthcare teams
- Give and monitor medications, treatments and therapies from the care plans
- Lead health promotion activities, join patient education, and supervise and coordinate Enrolled Nurses and other healthcare workers
- Write accurate healthcare documentation and keep accurate records
- Follow current clinical standards for home care, aged care, hospitals and community nursing, comply with Work Health and Safety legislation, maintain infection control standards and report hazards and incidents promptly
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration: current
- Nursing qualification: relevant for a Registered Nurse
- Experience: community nursing and home care
- Experience length: minimum one year's full-time relevant experience
- National Criminal History Check: current
- Working with Children Check: current
- Manual Handling Certificate: current
- Driver's licence: valid, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations: current
- Infection Control certificate
