The mine produces zinc, lead and silver. It has a long life. Many work areas are active at the same time. You will make the mine plans and schedules. You will keep them up to date and make them better. Good plans help the mine reach its production and development targets.
You can work from Brisbane. You can also fly in and fly out, or live at the mine. Visa sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Make mine plans and schedules for production and development targets.
- Keep the plans and schedules up to date and keep improving them.
- Use Life-of-Mine and long-term plans to create practical medium-term sequences.
- Plan good timing for stope extraction, development, ventilation availability and infrastructure readiness.
- Make sure the medium-term sequences can become short term plans.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related subject.
- Demonstrated underground hard rock mining experience.
- Exposure to scheduling, technical services or mine planning roles is preferred.
- Experience using Surpac, Deswik or equivalent mine planning and design software.
- You use this software for stope sequencing, schedule analysis and development planning.
- Strong understanding of production sequencing, development requirements and underground mining methods.
- Ability to understand ventilation, operational, geological and geotechnical constraints and use them in practical mine plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess planning risks, find constraints and make practical solutions.
