Do you like helping older people? A dementia care home in Christchurch, New Zealand, wants a Caregiver for a full-time, permanent job.
You work at least 30 hours a week. Shifts can be at any time, because the roster is 24/7. Your hourly pay depends on your level: $23.95 at Level 1 and $28.25 at Level 4 and above.
The team is close and kind, with good mentoring and training. The employer is an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer. Visa sponsorship is only for applicants who meet the qualification condition in the requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Help residents with showering, dressing, eating, moving and communicating, giving whole-person care that respects their culture
- Help make care plans and follow therapy plans for people with dementia
- Watch residents, tell the team how they are doing and report changes or worries fast
- Keep records correct and up to date, and help the registered nurses within your scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- You care about making elderly people's lives better, with kindness and empathy
- You have a passion for aged care
- You can work any shift on a 24/7 roster
- Caregiving experience preferred
- Dementia care experience is a strong advantage
- For visa support, you need a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 4+ caregiving qualification and an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
