Key Responsibilities
- Support people with complex behavioural needs.
- Support people with complex medical needs and health-related challenges.
- Help people manage emotions when they feel overwhelmed.
- Keep people safe and encourage positive behaviour.
- Help people become more independent and learn daily living skills.
- Help with daily tasks based on each person's ability, such as transport, employment, finances, meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, showering and medication.
- Manage risk and respond well in difficult situations.
- Work day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.
Requirements & Eligibility
- It is preferred that you have experience in managing challenging behaviours.
- You know how to navigate behaviours that can challenge.
- You can work flexible shifts, including weekends and wakeover shifts.
- You use computers and tablets every day with comfort and skill, and you have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You are physically fit enough to give necessary physical support.
- You have a Full NZ driver's license.
