Key Responsibilities
- Hit the workshop's KPIs and finish jobs within the agreed times
- Mount tyres for cars, 4WDs and commercial vehicles, onto standard rims as well as aftermarket ones
- Measure and correct alignment on cars and 4WDs
- Take care of light and medium servicing and general maintenance on vehicles
- Examine tyres, wheels and nearby components, and sort out any tyre or wheel issues
- Work fast but never cut corners on quality, so every task is precise and professional
- Follow the workshop's safety requirements and safe operating steps at all times
- Leave your bay, tools and gear clean and in order
- Take ownership of the work you complete, working alone or lending a hand to the team on general workshop jobs
- Communicate in a professional way with colleagues and clients
Requirements & Eligibility
- You hold Certificate III in Automotive or another equivalent qualification
- You can demonstrate automotive industry experience, and it can be verified
- You have practical experience fitting tyres and doing wheel alignments
- You have worked with tyres for passenger, commercial and 4WD vehicles, and have fitted them to aftermarket wheels
- You know automotive maintenance and repair work in practice
- You can show genuine technical skill and past experience in a workshop
- You are physically capable of lifting and moving tyres
- You keep a strong focus on safety, precision and quality workmanship
- You can work without supervision and manage your own assigned tasks
- You are dependable, on time and professional
- You have strong communication and teamwork skills, plus good time management for meeting deadlines
- You stay effective when the workshop gets busy
- You hold a current manual driver's licence
- Sponsorship is offered to suitably qualified candidates who have the required experience
