Two trade jobs are open in Brisbane QLD. A construction and renovation business in Queensland needs an experienced Qualified Waterproofer and an experienced Qualified Tiler for its ongoing residential and commercial projects.
Your certificate is important, but it is not everything. The employer also wants to know where you learned your trade, which jobs you have finished and the quality you deliver every time.

Key Responsibilities
- Waterproofer role: get surfaces and substrates ready, then apply membranes, sealants and other waterproofing products
- Waterproofer role: waterproof bathrooms, balconies, wet areas and structural areas to each project's requirements
- Waterproofer role: check prepared surfaces and finished work for quality and compliance
- Tiler role: lay wall and floor tiles on residential and commercial jobs, measuring, cutting and placing each tile accurately
- Tiler role: prepare surfaces so they are right for tiling, then do the grouting, sealing and fine finishing
- Tiler role: read construction drawings, plans and specifications, and plan tiling around waterproofing and other site work
- Both roles: work as a team with builders, tilers and the other trades on site
- Both roles: meet the relevant Australian Standards, site procedures and WHS requirements
- Both roles: keep workmanship accurate and professional on every project, finding and fixing quality problems where required
- Both roles: keep your work area safe, neat and organised from start to finish
Requirements & Eligibility
- Waterproofer: a Recognised Waterproofing Qualification
- Waterproofer: minimum two years of relevant industry experience preferred
- Waterproofer: has demonstrated practical work on residential or commercial waterproofing projects, and knows waterproofing practices, building requirements and WHS procedures
- Waterproofer: works well alongside the other construction trades
- Tiler: Certificate III in Wall & Floor Tiling or equivalent
- Tiler: minimum two years of relevant industry experience preferred
- Tiler: demonstrated, hands-on wall and floor tiling work
- Tiler: careful with detail, measurements and the look of the finished job, and able to read plans, drawings and specifications
- Tiler: a practical grasp of surface preparation and waterproofing requirements
- For both jobs: a valid driver’s licence, a reliable vehicle and a White Card
- For both jobs: able to give supporting evidence of your qualifications and work experience, and willing to complete the relevant verification and recruitment checks
