Do you enjoy busy nights and happy guests? A well-known hospitality and events organisation in New South Wales is growing its Front of House team and needs enthusiastic Casual Wait Staff.
You will help at many kinds of high-quality events. Think elegant weddings, corporate functions, gala dinners and private parties. Your job is to make service smooth so every guest has a night to remember.
This work suits hospitality people who like variety, enjoy meeting people and love the buzz of live events. You will work at different venues and event styles, next to experienced hospitality and events staff.
Please note the working rights and RSA points in the list below. A neat English-language CV that lists your hospitality work will also help.
Key Responsibilities
- Get tables, dining spaces, function rooms and service stations ready
- Greet guests warmly and help them in a friendly, professional way
- Write down food and drink orders correctly
- Bring out food and drinks quickly and to the service standard
- Give smooth, attentive service from the start of each event to the end
- Keep an eye on what guests need and act on requests fast
- Clear and re-set tables during and after each function
- Keep the Front of House area clean, tidy and good-looking, and stay well presented and positive all shift
- Team up with the kitchen, events and service crews so weddings, corporate functions, private events and big celebrations go smoothly
- Follow venue rules on food safety, hygiene, workplace safety and responsible alcohol service
- Adjust easily to new venues, event types, guest needs and service demands
Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous work in hospitality, waiting, functions or customer service is preferred
- A real interest in giving guests a high-quality experience
- Strong spoken communication and people skills
- Dependable, on time and well presented
- Comfortable in busy places where things change quickly
- Works well together with kitchen and Front of House teams
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and shifts based on events
- Current Australian RSA certificate, or willing to obtain one
- Appropriate Australian working rights where applicable; relevant overseas hospitality experience may be considered for sponsorship
- Happy to work at multiple venues across New South Wales
