Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand: a gastropub that is about to open is putting together its launch crew. Three Bartenders with solid experience are wanted. They should have proven hands-on ability and put customers first.
This suits people who have worked behind a real bar, understand drinks service and stay confident when things get hectic. What you know, what you have done and how consistently you serve will all count.

Key Responsibilities
- Mix cocktails to the venue's own recipes and standards, and prepare a wide choice of drinks with and without alcohol
- Serve beer, wine and spirits, sharing the right product knowledge with guests
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, chat confidently and handle their service requests
- Ring up sales on POS systems without errors, handle cash and complete end-of-shift tasks
- Track drink supplies, keep the stockroom tidy, and assist with rotating, ordering and counting stock
- Keep every part of the bar and service area spotless
- Serve alcohol responsibly, following set procedures and the relevant New Zealand regulations
- Handle opening and closing tasks as required
- Back up your teammates through busy shifts
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years in professional bartending roles that are relevant
- Demonstrated practical experience making cocktails and serving drinks, and a working understanding of beer, wine and spirits
- Where required, able to show proof of your relevant work experience
- Great at communicating and serving customers, and at ease in a busy hospitality venue
- Dependable, with a professional attitude
- Free to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Applicants must satisfy whatever New Zealand immigration requirements apply
- Sponsorship is offered to eligible applicants from overseas, subject to job check approval and immigration requirements
- For applicants already in New Zealand, a Job Change or Variation of Conditions may be considered where applicable
- If an English test is required, applicants must meet the current Immigration New Zealand requirements or hold an accepted exemption
