Telecommunications Field Engineer

An established telecommunications infrastructure contractor wants an experienced Telecommunications Field Engineer. The company builds critical network projects all over Australia for the country's biggest telecommunications providers.
Your days will be practical and technical: integration, commissioning and work on telecommunications infrastructure. You will help roll out large networks, learn from experienced people in the industry and grow your career on projects of national importance.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle RF and transmission integration, commissioning, testing and network acceptance on telecommunications infrastructure projects
- Install, set up and commission antennas, radios, transmission systems, microwave links, feeders, outdoor cabinets and other network hardware
- Help with tower upgrades, new equipment, structural changes and projects that expand the infrastructure
- Fill in commissioning reports, test records and carrier acceptance paperwork to the industry standard required
- Find and fix technical faults during installation, commissioning and integration
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, permits, risk controls and quality assurance rules
- Travel to sites in cities, regional areas and remote parts of Australia when needed
- Work as one team with engineers, project managers and field crews to deliver each project
- Support large-scale network rollouts alongside experienced industry professionals
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven work as a Telecommunications Field Engineer, with strong skills in RF and transmission integration
- Experience commissioning telecommunications equipment and completing carrier acceptance documents
- Current Intermediate or Advanced Rigging qualification
- Current Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and First Aid certifications
- Experience on telecommunications towers, structural steel installations or infrastructure upgrades
- Able to travel a lot across Australia, including to regional and remote project sites
- Current driver's licence
- Extra heavy vehicle licences or relevant industry tickets are advantageous
- A strong understanding of safety, quality and Australian telecommunications industry standards
- Excellent skills in troubleshooting, communication and teamwork
