This verified position suits qualified Endorsed Enrolled Nurses who want to move into leadership in Australian residential aged care. Selection is careful. The employer confirms that you hold the right credentials and registrations, and that you have the practical ability to be responsible for a team of carers.
Based in Victoria, you will help deliver good care, back up your co-workers during each shift and build a setting where every resident receives dignity, respect and genuine compassion. Both permanent full-time and part-time options are open.
Assessment looks at professional qualifications, AHPRA registration, medication endorsement, clearances and whether you can meet the role's genuine requirements.
Documents in Indonesian may need an English translation under the visa rules, so plan for that early.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee care workers through allocated shifts, offering them support and direction the whole time
- Make sure care is safe, respectful and centred on the person, shaped around what each resident needs, prefers and hopes for
- Coordinate what residents require in the area you are assigned
- Partner with nurses and clinicians to keep care continuous
- Support the physical, emotional and social side of residents' wellbeing
- Administer medication, and support medication-related activities, inside the scope of practice you are authorised for
- Monitor what residents eat and drink, supporting their nutrition and hydration requirements
- Join in pressure care management and further clinical care activities
- Assist with accurate care records
- Promote open, effective talk within the care team, using relevant workplace systems and technology to deliver care
- Apply workplace health and safety requirements, with high infection prevention and control standards
- Contribute to a workplace culture that is supportive, professional and focused on residents
Requirements & Eligibility
- Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (or a recognised equivalent)
- Endorsed Enrolled Nurse status with current AHPRA registration
- Authority to administer medication inside the relevant professional scope
- National Police Check that is current
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
- Can supply evidence of professional qualifications and registration
- Demonstrated integrity, reliability and accountability as a professional
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Can supervise, guide and support fellow care staff
- Commitment to aged care that is compassionate and person-centred
- Understands workplace health and safety practices and knows the procedures for infection prevention and control
- Comfortable using relevant technology and workplace information systems
- Open to continuing professional learning and development
- Highly regarded: previous residential aged care experience
- Visa sponsorship may be considered for international candidates meeting the verified eligibility requirements
