Is shotcrete your trade? A Senior Shotcreter is needed for a permanent full-time role in NSW. The work is specialist ground support, so you need proven experience spraying shotcrete in this field.

The employer will look for real proof: time running shotcrete equipment, good quality spraying, and safe work on complex ground engineering sites. What decides your application is your background on the tools, your technical ability and the projects you have done.

Your crew will include experienced anchoring and drilling teams. Together you will stabilise ground on projects where accuracy, consistency and safety are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Look after daily shotcrete work on the projects you are given
  • Run the shotcrete rig and equipment on specialist ground support work, check its condition and handle routine maintenance
  • Prepare each surface first, then spray to the project specs, mixing and spraying the concrete with the correct technique
  • Keep the quality of your spraying and workmanship the same on every job
  • Work with the anchoring and drilling crews during ground engineering work
  • Help team members improve their practical skills and encourage everyone to think about safety
  • Notice when the site or the environmental conditions change, and respond sensibly
  • Follow each project's own safety, quality and operating procedures
  • Work as a team with supervisors, operators and other site workers so the project is delivered efficiently and well

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven professional experience as a Shotcreter
  • Demonstrated experience running shotcrete machinery and related equipment
  • Strong practical knowledge of mixing concrete and applying shotcrete
  • A background in ground support, ground engineering or a related construction setting
  • Can show and verify previous relevant jobs and technical experience
  • Able to work effectively with the anchoring and drilling teams, and as one member of a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Nationally accredited OHS Card / White Card or equivalent
  • Full driving licence and own reliable transport
  • MR licence for line pump operations where applicable
  • Able to work in demanding site and environmental conditions
  • Able to pass a project-specific pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
  • Relevant Australian work rights, or eligibility for employment sponsored by an employer
  • Visa sponsorship available for suitably qualified candidates with verifiable experience
