Key Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare materials, then fabricate and assemble aluminium and sheet metal products
- Follow technical drawings, plans and simple sketches
- Carry out aluminium TIG and laser welding, and use machines for cutting, bending and rolling
- Do fabrication and finishing work accurately, and inspect finished components for quality and accuracy
- Help the workshop and production run efficiently, and share ideas to improve production methods
- Solve fabrication problems together with your colleagues
- Look after tools, equipment and work areas properly, and follow all relevant safety and workplace procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- 3–5 years or more of experience in a relevant industry
- Past employment as a Sheet Metal or Aluminium Fabricator
- Strong hands-on experience welding aluminium
- Competent with TIG or laser welding
- Able to read and follow fabrication drawings
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication equipment
- Experience with fencing and gates is highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail and strong practical problem-solving skills
- A commitment to safe work practices and quality
