Key Responsibilities
- Talk through each client's preferences and recommend services that suit them
- Cut, colour and style hair to a high standard
- Design personalised looks without dropping your technical standards
- Make each appointment professional and memorable
- Build lasting relationships with both new and regular clients
- Handle professional haircare products, tools and equipment confidently
- Keep up with emerging trends, techniques and industry practice, joining training, workshops and ongoing professional development
- Hold salon presentation and hygiene to a consistently high standard
- Suggest suitable professional products and services
- Collaborate with fellow stylists and the salon team, and pass on knowledge and guidance to junior members
- Add to a salon culture that is positive, productive and focused on clients
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hairdressing qualification that is recognised
- Proven background as a Senior Stylist or in an equivalent senior-level position
- Strong practical skill in cutting, colouring and styling
- A demonstrated history of employment in professional salons
- Can supply evidence of relevant qualifications and industry experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional approach to client service
- Works independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Passionate about hairdressing and committed to high-quality results
- Happy to mentor and support stylists who are still developing
- Committed to ongoing learning and building your skills
