Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial roofing systems from start to finish
- Fit metal roofing and cladding, plus wall cladding, flashings and other roofing parts
- Follow plans, drawings and project specifications
- Measure, cut and place roofing materials accurately
- Work at height safely, using hand tools, power tools and roofing equipment correctly
- Work with supervisors and other trades on active sites, and tell supervisors about any installation or workmanship problems you find
- Keep workmanship at a high standard on every project, following safety and site procedures
- Help prepare and move roofing materials
- Keep your work area clean, safe and organised
- Support the team with general roofing and cladding work as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated professional experience as a roofer
- Has worked on industrial or commercial construction projects
- Proven metal roofing experience preferred
- Practical knowledge of how roofing and cladding are installed, and competent with standard roofing tools and equipment
- Can work at heights with confidence and safety
- Can understand and follow specifications and construction plans
- Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- Reliable, punctual and committed, and able to communicate and cooperate well with site teams
- Relevant roofing trade qualification highly regarded
- Current driver's licence preferred
- Able to provide photographs, portfolio examples or other evidence of past roofing work, and employment or trade history that supports your claimed experience
- Willing to relocate and work in South Australia
