Refrigeration Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

  • Do scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on refrigeration plant
  • Track down electrical and mechanical faults and get refrigeration systems running again
  • Fix and maintain refrigeration gear plus any linked equipment
  • Act quickly when a breakdown or urgent repair comes up
  • Inspect equipment and flag the maintenance it needs
  • Fill in service reports and other maintenance paperwork
  • Team up with maintenance crews and other site staff
  • Work to site safety procedures and compliance rules so every task is finished safely and efficiently
  • Look after your tools, equipment and work space
  • Deliver steady, reliable maintenance work out in remote locations

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Trade-qualified Refrigeration Mechanic (relevant trade certification) who has worked in commercial and/or domestic refrigeration
  • Licences held: valid ARC Licence, current WA Restricted Electrical Licence and a current driver's licence
  • Prepared to gain or convert extra licences and certifications where required
  • An Australian Federal Police Clearance dated in the last 6 months
  • Working at Heights and EWP certification (or happy to complete these)
  • First Aid, LV Rescue and CPR certification (or happy to complete these)
  • A White Card / Construction Card (or happy to get one)
  • Can pass the medical plus drug and alcohol checks
  • Fit enough for 12-hour shifts in demanding conditions
  • Flexible and dependable when it comes to FIFO work, with safety always first
  • Holds eligible Australian/New Zealand working rights, or is suitable for sponsorship
