Pub & Restaurant Management Position

Know how to keep a busy pub humming? An established pub and restaurant in Melbourne, Victoria, wants an experienced Hospitality Manager to run day-to-day operations.
You will look after the team and staff performance, customer service, stock and steady operating standards. The goal is a venue that feels professional and friendly every shift.
You will work side by side with the owner. Together you lead the crew, improve daily processes and make sure guests get a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities
- Run the pub and restaurant each day and own the results
- Direct and support staff during service, and step onto the floor to help when needed
- Write rosters and help with payroll admin
- Track inventory, help with purchasing and orders, and watch stock use and running costs
- Coach, encourage and support the team, and help with hiring, induction and ongoing training
- Keep customer service at a high level every day
- Make sure the venue is always clean and well presented
- Support responsible service of alcohol and RSA compliance
- Find and roll out better ways of working together with the owner, and make firm calls on day-to-day issues when it is busy
- Help build a workplace culture that is positive, professional and accountable
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven background in the hospitality industry, including past work in a supervisory or management role
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage hospitality staff
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A confident, professional manner with both customers and staff
- Able to handle busy service periods well
- Strong organisation and time management
- Able to work independently and own operational decisions
- Current and valid RSA certification
- Must be 18 years or older
- Happy to be hands-on in running the venue, with a reliable, committed work attitude
- Able to get to and from work reliably, and to provide verifiable proof of relevant hospitality experience
- Must meet the applicable sponsorship requirements
