Key Responsibilities

  • Organise the supply of parts so daily workshop jobs keep moving, checking what the workshop needs and ordering quickly
  • Keep purchase order records and paperwork correct
  • Contact suppliers about stock, delivery dates and order changes
  • Check each delivery when it arrives and confirm the parts match the specifications
  • Handle returns, cancellations and supplier credits, and keep their records
  • Keep inventory details and stock movement history accurate, follow usage trends to help keep stock at the right level, do regular stock audits and look into any differences
  • Keep tracking records for workshop tools and equipment
  • Help the parts team and workshop team work well together, and help with admin for vehicle preparation and workshop operations
  • Store and handle parts safely, following workplace safety procedures

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Has proven experience in automotive parts, purchasing, stock control or dealership operations
  • Experience as a Service Advisor with strong workshop administration skills will be considered
  • Good understanding of how automotive repairs work and what parts are needed
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent record keeping, and able to organise tasks, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
  • Communicates professionally with suppliers and internal teams
  • Confident using computer systems for data entry, reporting and reconciliation
  • A positive attitude, and willing to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Automotive industry experience you can demonstrate, suitable for a career move overseas
