Key Responsibilities
- Read workshop drawings, technical plans and project specifications, then choose the right fabrication methods and welding techniques
- Fabricate and weld for custom-made projects
- Make quality parts from steel, aluminium and stainless-steel
- Use fabrication machines, tools and workshop equipment safely, and always follow workplace health and safety requirements
- Do installation and field work when required
- Find problems and fix them with practical trade solutions
- Work with project teams to reach quality results and meet deadlines, keeping your work accurate, detailed and professional
- Share technical knowledge and ideas to help continuous improvement
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant trade qualification in Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking, Welding, or similar
- Proven background in fabrication and welding in professional settings
- Hands-on work with different metals and fabrication processes
- You can showcase strong technical skills and earlier project work
- You read and understand engineering drawings competently
- Strongly committed to safety, quality and reliability at work
- Effective alone or in a team, practical at solving problems and careful with detail
- Ready for workshop duties and, now and then, site duties
- Overseas-qualified tradespeople with verifiable experience are encouraged to apply
- Candidates who meet the skill, qualification and experience requirements may be eligible for employer sponsorship
