A Queensland organisation, with the role based in Stones Corner, Brisbane, wants a Human Resources Manager. The employer describes it as a part-time leadership opportunity. You will oversee key HR functions and help keep a workforce of more than 160 employees capable, engaged and compliant.

Key Responsibilities
- Create practical HR strategies and put them in place
- Advise leaders on what the workforce needs, and plan capability and succession
- Run recruitment and talent acquisition
- Help keep employees engaged and staying with the business
- Manage performance issues and employee relations
- Handle grievances and workplace investigations, and coordinate disciplinary processes
- Keep the organisation compliant with employment laws and awards
- Review HR documents, policies and procedures
- Produce workforce reports and HR metrics, and support remuneration reviews
- Help with injury management and return-to-work programs
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or a senior HR professional
- A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred
- Experience in construction, mining, engineering, infrastructure or a comparable operational sector
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, and an understanding of modern awards and workplace relations
- Proven experience in employee relations and investigations
- A strong background in recruitment and workforce planning
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills
- Able to work with senior leaders as well as operational staff
- Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms
- Able to work independently in a hands-on setting
- Sponsorship or migration experience is highly regarded
- Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates
