Do you love working on trucks? A leading network of truck dealerships in New Zealand is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic. You will work in a modern workshop with good equipment and advanced technology. There is ongoing training and strong career development.
Your main tasks are servicing, repairing and diagnosing heavy vehicles, together with a professional team. There are long-term career options across New Zealand, and relocation options for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair heavy trucks and commercial vehicles
- Use modern tools and technology for advanced fault finding and diagnosis, and inspect and test vehicles to find problems quickly and correctly
- Do mechanical and electrical repairs that meet manufacturer and industry standards
- Make sure every repair is safe and done with high-quality workmanship, and follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Work as a team with other technicians, service advisors and the parts department, and talk with customers in a professional, helpful way
- Keep service records and workshop paperwork accurate
- Learn about new vehicle technology through ongoing training
- Help the workshop work efficiently and reach its service targets
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant automotive qualification, preferably as a qualified Diesel Mechanic
- Proven experience with mechanical repairs on heavy vehicles or trucks
- Experience with franchise truck dealerships is preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and able to diagnose and repair complex vehicle problems
- Committed to accuracy, efficiency and quality workmanship
- A real passion for the truck and heavy vehicle industry
- Can work on your own and in a professional team
- Truck licence or forklift licence is advantageous
