Are you an HD Mechanic with years on heavy mining equipment? This role takes your skills overseas, to an international mining operation in the USA.
The job is all about practical ability. You find faults, maintain complex machines and keep critical equipment running safely and reliably. To see if you are suitable, the employer will look at your trade qualification, your work history and your hands-on experience with the equipment.
You will work on a 2/1 roster at a major mine. Good tooling, competitive pay and overtime are part of the deal. The first contract is 12 months and may be extended. Keep your employment letters ready, and have Indonesian-language documents translated into English if the visa rules require it.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain heavy mobile mining machines, including planned preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
- Look into mechanical faults, run accurate diagnostics and troubleshoot poor performance to find the real cause
- Repair or replace mechanical parts when needed, using technical documents and diagnostic information
- Work on Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi and similar equipment
- Help keep machines available and reduce downtime for the operation
- Follow site procedures for all maintenance work
- Record each repair, inspection and maintenance job you complete
- Keep safety standards high in every task
- Work closely with the site team so the mine runs reliably
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel, HD or Mobile Plant Mechanic
- At least 5 years of industry experience after your trade (post-trade)
- Demonstrated work on mining machinery or heavy mobile plant
- Practical experience with major OEM equipment, such as Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Komatsu or Hitachi machines
- Strong skills in diagnostics, fault-finding and mechanical repair
- A work history you can support with relevant employment documents, and genuine hands-on technical experience you can demonstrate
- Willing to work a 2/1 roster
- Able to work safely in a demanding mining environment
- Willing to relocate to the USA
- Able to meet the applicable visa and sponsorship requirements
