Key Responsibilities
- Style and finish hair to a high standard
- Do blow-dries, upstyles, braids and hair for special occasions
- Create a look that fits what each client wants
- Get clients ready for weddings, events and professional photoshoots
- Keep your work and your own presentation neat and professional, and give friendly, professional service
- Work with teammates so each client has a smooth, joined-up experience, and help build a positive, collaborative workplace
- Help out with events, campaigns and creative projects in the industry
- Keep up with new hair trends and styling techniques, and join education programs and industry masterclasses
- Use professional products and equipment the right way
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant hairstyling qualification, or substantial professional experience
- Proven skill with many different hairstyling techniques
- Experience giving services in a professional salon or a similar place
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A creative mind and passion for the beauty industry
- Can keep quality high while working under time pressure
- Professional appearance and a client-focused approach
- Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic and commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Works well as part of a team and is willing to take part in salon, event and creative opportunities
