Key Responsibilities
- Offer professional cuts, colour, styling and grooming
- Do women's haircuts, colour and styling where needed
- Do men's cuts, fades, beard grooming and other barbering services
- Talk with each client to learn what they like and need, then suggest suitable hairstyles, colours and grooming options
- Keep customer service high and clients happy
- Keep your tools, equipment and work area clean, hygienic and in professional condition, and use salon products and equipment safely and well
- Follow the latest hairdressing and barbering trends and techniques
- Grow your skills in both hairdressing and barbering
- Be a good member of a supportive salon team and help keep the workplace positive, professional and focused on clients
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven professional work as a Hairdresser or Barber
- Strong hands-on skill in either women's hairdressing or men's barbering; candidates skilled in both areas will be highly regarded
- Experience in the cutting, styling, colouring, fades or grooming services that fit your speciality
- Strong skills in communication and client service
- A professional attitude and good attention to detail
- You are willing to learn and widen your skills in different areas of the industry
- You can work on your own and also add real value to a team
- Relevant industry qualifications or recognised training will be an advantage
- You can provide information and documents to support verification of your experience and identity where required
