Goldfields Field Service - HD Mechanic

Field work suits some mechanics better than a fixed workshop bay. If that is you, this Goldfields role in Western Australia could fit. It is for qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanics, with an established employer that has been verified, and a clear, open path to a real position.
Out on client sites, you will be the person who keeps heavy machines running: attending breakdowns, finding faults, doing maintenance and backing up operations.
Your trade papers, job history and identity will be professionally checked. This makes sure skills and job match, so both you and the employer can feel confident. Tip: prepare an English CV that lists the equipment you know well.
Key Responsibilities
- Go out to sites to repair and service heavy machinery on the spot
- Answer breakdown calls, work out what has failed mechanically, and get it running again without delay
- Do planned and preventative servicing
- Help out during shutdowns and when equipment needs relocating
- Handle major OEM machines with confidence
- Organise your own daily jobs to hit set deadlines, keeping workmanship high on everything you are given
- Fill in service reports and maintenance paperwork accurately, and keep clients, site reps and teammates informed
- Stick to workplace and site safety rules and add to a professional team where safety comes first
Requirements & Eligibility
- Holds a recognised Heavy Diesel trade qualification, or another relevant equivalent
- Relevant background as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic, including repair and upkeep of heavy mobile equipment
- Sharp at diagnosing problems, finding faults and solving them
- Time on major OEM equipment is highly regarded
- Holds a valid driver's licence suited to what the role needs
- Advantageous: a High Risk Work Licence covering LF and/or WP
- Comfortable in a field service setting and well aware of safe work practices
- Can complete the required pre-employment assessments
- Communicates well in writing and speech
- Qualifications, work history and professional identity must all be verifiable
- Employer sponsorship may be considered for eligible international candidates
