Forklift Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, repair and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites
  • Find faults with diagnostic checks and fix them with effective repairs
  • Do scheduled preventative maintenance so equipment runs safely, reliably and at its best
  • Give customers professional, prompt technical support when they need service
  • Inspect equipment, report accurately on its condition and recommend repairs, then test and adjust machines so they run safely and efficiently
  • Fill in service paperwork and keep accurate records of inspections, repairs and finished jobs
  • Stay safety-aware and follow Australian workplace health and safety requirements, keeping tools, equipment and work areas safe and tidy
  • Team up with experienced technicians, service crews and customers, and grow your product and technical knowledge through training and mentoring
  • Represent the business with quality work, clear communication and customer-focused service

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Demonstrated experience as a Forklift Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Technician or in a similar technical role
  • A relevant trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Equipment or a related discipline, backed by practical industry experience
  • Minimum three years of hands-on work servicing, repairing or maintaining forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and technical systems, with experience diagnosing faults and doing preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Can communicate well with customers and team members in English
  • Proven commitment to quality workmanship, workplace safety and professional standards
  • Can provide verified employment history, qualifications and supporting skills evidence
  • Willing to relocate and build a long-term career in Australia
  • Able to meet the Australian visa sponsorship and skills assessment requirements that apply
  • Motivated to bring your technical skills and industry experience to a professional workplace
  • Visa sponsorship is on offer for eligible candidates
