Key Responsibilities
- Look for electrical faults and find their cause
- Maintain, service and repair electrical systems, and test them to see what work they need
- Install electrical systems in different settings, including commercial jobs when needed
- Make sure every job is safe and meets the required standards
- Read electrical plans, specifications and technical details
- Use electrical tools, test equipment and machinery the right way
- Keep your workplace clean, safe and in order
- Finish your work efficiently while keeping workmanship high
- Work alone on some tasks and with the team on others
- Speak professionally with customers and co-workers, and give reliable service that leaves customers happy
Requirements & Eligibility
- A qualified electrician holding relevant trade certification
- Shown hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, with strong practical knowledge of repairs and fault finding
- A work history that is proven and can be verified, and willingness to provide documents that support your qualifications and experience
- Commercial electrical experience is advantageous
- Understanding of workplace procedures, compliance and electrical safety
- Able to diagnose problems and solve technical issues on your own
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- A hardworking, reliable and professional attitude
- Able to communicate well with team members and customers
- Overseas candidates must satisfy the New Zealand employment and immigration requirements that apply
