Electrician

Are you an experienced electrician who also likes working with security systems? A business in New South Wales is looking for an Electrical & Security Technician with genuine trade skills.
You will take ownership of jobs in homes and commercial buildings. The work mixes traditional electrical tasks with modern security solutions such as CCTV, alarms, intercoms and access control. Strong electrical careers are built on proven skills, professional standards and client trust, and this role needs all three.
You will work locally on a steady 40-hour week, with support and training to widen your technical skills. If you trained overseas, check that your qualification may be eligible for Australian licensing before you apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs in residential and commercial properties
- Install and maintain CCTV and security surveillance systems, alarm systems, intercoms and access control
- Go to customer sites, work out what each job needs and finish the work accurately, efficiently and to a high professional standard
- Own the jobs you are given and work with minimal supervision
- Build good client relationships with professional presentation and communication
- Communicate clearly about how each job is progressing and what it requires
- Follow electrical safety requirements and workplace procedures
- Keep your tools, equipment and work areas safe and well organised
- Represent the business professionally inside customer homes and commercial premises
Requirements & Eligibility
- An Australian electrical licence, or an overseas electrical qualification eligible for Australian licensing
- Minimum 3 years of practical electrical experience
- Demonstrated residential and commercial electrical experience, and confidence with electrical systems and installations
- CCTV, alarm, intercom or access control experience is advantageous
- Own electrical hand tools
- Australian driver's licence and a White Card
- Working at Heights and EWP tickets are advantageous
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with professional conduct and appearance when dealing with clients
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently
- Can provide qualifications and employment experience that can be verified
- Overseas-qualified candidates who meet Australian licensing eligibility are encouraged to apply
