Key Responsibilities

  • Handle installation and maintenance on commercial electrical jobs
  • Take part in infrastructure and development work
  • Put in, service and maintain streetlighting
  • Work from electrical plans, drawings and technical specs, finishing installations to match what each project needs
  • Track down electrical faults, work out the cause and repair them
  • Manage your assigned duties without needing close supervision
  • Deliver top workmanship on all projects and adjust to new project demands and workplaces
  • Stick to electrical regulations, site procedures and safety requirements, and operate and maintain your tools and gear safely
  • Communicate with supervisors, teammates and other project stakeholders
  • Add to a team culture that is reliable and professional

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Current EWRB Electrical Registration
  • Current New Zealand Practising Licence (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • 3–5+ years working in commercial electrical jobs
  • Deep practical know-how in electrical installation and maintenance
  • Genuine practical electrical skills you can demonstrate
  • A verifiable record of employment in the electrician trade
  • Confidence to work independently and make sound technical choices
  • Careful with detail and committed to quality
  • Communicates well in writing and in speech
  • Proactive, dependable and professional, and strongly committed to health and safety
  • Works well as part of a small team
  • Hold the legal right to work in New Zealand, or be a suitable candidate for sponsorship supported by the employer
