Electrician

On a big construction project, a qualification alone is not enough. Electricians need to work on their own, adapt when plans change and deliver safe, reliable work across many tasks. Experienced, trade-qualified Electricians are wanted for project work linked to Brisbane QLD.
You will support construction and infrastructure activities in a professional project setting. You will work beside other trades to finish electrical tasks efficiently, keep safety standards high and help projects move forward. Brisbane QLD may be your main base, and travel will depend on each project.
Tip: prepare an English-language CV, and apply for an SKCK from the Indonesian National Police if a police certificate is requested.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems on remote construction projects in mining, civil and heavy industry settings
- Install and look after HV and LV cabling, and finish switchboard and MCC terminations
- Fit motors, lighting and power systems
- Put in steel conduits and earthing systems
- Find and fix electrical faults
- Work with fitters, plumbers and civil crews on shared project tasks
- Adapt to shifting priorities and remote site conditions
- Keep work safe and to a high quality standard
- Help meet project deadlines through reliable teamwork and clear communication
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification, plus a current electrical licence suitable for the role
- Relevant, verified experience in construction, mining, civil or heavy industry
- Current First Aid and CPR
- UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel
- Nationally Recognised Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Able to commit to a 2:1 FIFO roster
- Experience working safely in remote or project-based settings
- Demonstrated ability across many different electrical tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a reliable and adaptable attitude to site work
- Refrigeration tickets are highly desirable
- Holding a Certificate IV in Instrumentation is advantageous
- Fibre endorsements are advantageous
- ACMA accreditation is advantageous
- A Certificate II in Split Air-conditioning and Heat Pump Systems is advantageous
- Willing to complete required pre-employment checks
- Sponsorship available for suitable, eligible candidates
