Electrician

Experienced electricians who hold recognised New Zealand electrical certification are wanted. The work may include industrial maintenance, shutdowns and project-based electrical jobs. Each person is assessed on checked trade papers, past industry work and the type of working arrangement they prefer. The aim is to match proven electricians with suitable roles across the Auckland market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems, helping keep them reliable and compliant
  • Look over electrical systems, equipment and buildings for faults and defects
  • Read electrical drawings, schematics and technical documents
  • Find electrical faults and do the work needed to fix them
  • Test and inspect electrical work when required
  • Keep job records and compliance paperwork accurate
  • Follow each site's electrical procedures and safe ways of working
  • Work together with supervisors, project teams and other trades
  • Finish the maintenance, shutdown and project tasks you are given to the required standard

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Recognised New Zealand Electrical Certification
  • Proven work history as a qualified electrician
  • Experience in industrial, infrastructure or mining work
  • Can show practical skill in electrical maintenance and finding faults
  • Understands electrical safety, compliance and site procedures
  • Able to read and understand electrical drawings and technical information
  • Willing to work in Queensland or Western Australia
  • Willing to do FIFO shutdown work in Western Australia where applicable
  • Australian working rights, or eligible for an Australian work visa; applicants who need visa sponsorship may be considered
  • Candidates must be able to provide evidence of their qualifications and relevant experience
