Electrical Technician

Factories and processing sites only run well when skilled electrical people look after the machines. A top industrial business in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, wants a full-time Electrical Technician to join its maintenance side.
Your main goal is reliable plant. That means planned maintenance, finding electrical faults and fixing them quickly. You will do well if you take charge of your own maintenance jobs, understand industrial workplaces and never cut corners on safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep industrial plant and its electrical systems working, carrying out repair and maintenance tasks
- Track down electrical faults and diagnose them
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance programs and react to corrective maintenance jobs
- Look for chances to improve how reliable the equipment is, and help reduce downtime and interruptions to production
- Cooperate with production and maintenance teams
- Join in with continuous improvement activities
- Help create maintenance fixes that save time and money
- Stick to all safety, health and environmental rules on site
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current Australian Electrical Licence – essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an industrial, manufacturing, processing, mining or related setting
- Solid background in electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting, with hands-on maintenance experience in industry
- Very aware of safety at all times
- Works effectively with only minimal supervision
- Good at teamwork and communicating
- Qualifications and job history that must be verifiable
- Instrumentation experience will be an advantage
- SAP knowledge will be an advantage
