Duty Manager

Can you run a busy venue and lead people with confidence? A hospitality business in New South Wales needs a Duty Manager. Your leadership experience should be easy to see, and it will be professionally verified.
You will own how the venue performs, guide the team and give customers a strong experience every time. Each day, you keep operations organised, back up your staff, and make sure the venue meets its service, safety and compliance standards.
Please note: candidates must have current onshore status in Australia, so this job suits people who are already in the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the venue each day and protect its service standards
- Supervise hospitality staff so every shift runs smoothly, and help with rosters, training and staff development
- Set the example for a professional, customer-focused venue
- Keep track of how satisfied customers are and sort out complaints well
- Look after stock control, inventory checks and supply orders
- Make sure the venue follows workplace health and safety rules, venue requirements and its licensing obligations
- Help with promotions, functions and special events
- Review sales, staff performance and customer feedback, and give management accurate reports on operations
- Find operational problems and act on them to keep service quality high
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated professional experience as a hospitality supervisor or manager
- Strong practical knowledge of how venues and bars operate
- Proven leadership, including managing hospitality teams
- Strong skills in communication, customer service and working with people
- Makes sound decisions when the hospitality environment is fast-paced
- Experience managing stock and handling basic financial responsibilities
- Available for evenings, weekends and flexible hospitality shifts
- Hospitality or management qualifications that are relevant are desirable
- Current onshore status in Australia, and able to provide genuine, verifiable evidence of relevant work experience
- Sponsorship is available for the right candidate
