Key Responsibilities
- Check with the team leader which prep jobs come first
- Do the daily food prep the kitchen needs
- Look after your own section during service and keep it organised
- Cook and plate food the same way every time, to the required standard
- Help the rest of the kitchen when service is busy, and talk clearly with your workmates throughout
- Keep your workstation neat and efficient, and clean equipment and work areas during the shift
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Bring a positive attitude to a cooperative, professional kitchen
Requirements & Eligibility
- Past work in a commercial kitchen, café or other hospitality setting
- Good knowledge of food preparation and how a kitchen runs
- Can work quickly and efficiently when service is fast-paced
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a positive, reliable attitude
- Happy to take constructive feedback and get better
- Can work on your own while still helping the wider team
- Committed to food safety and a clean workplace
- Available for early morning and daytime shifts
- You must be able to supply accurate information and documentation that supports checks of your identity and experience
