Key Responsibilities
- Cook Italian dishes to the kitchen's standards, helping with pasta, sauces and traditional Italian prep
- Do the mise en place and daily prep
- Keep food quality, taste and presentation consistent
- Follow recipes, cooking steps and senior chefs' instructions
- Keep up the pace in busy service and help teammates when required
- Keep your station clean, tidy and hygienic, following food safety and workplace health and safety rules
- Take feedback on board and use new techniques and procedures
- Show you are reliable, professional and positive, and help keep the kitchen respectful and productive
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated interest or experience in commercial cooking, plus a genuine passion for Italian cuisine
- A reliable, consistent way of working
- A strong work ethic and readiness to take responsibility
- Can follow instructions and learn from experienced chefs
- Practical kitchen skills that fit your level of experience
- Previous hospitality or kitchen experience is advantageous
- Good at teamwork and communication
- Keen to grow professionally in the Australian hospitality industry
- Candidates may be considered from entry-level through to experienced backgrounds
- Able to give genuine, verifiable employment or skills information where required
- Must meet the Australian employment and visa requirements that apply
