Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and look after children aged 0–6 years, giving each one attentive care and guidance
- Keep the space safe, warm and full of interest so children feel valued and supported, and help the centre stay positive and inclusive
- Encourage each child to be curious, confident, independent and social, with support matched to their individual needs, interests and goals
- Help design and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities, adding your own ideas to get children taking part
- Deliver programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Record children's progress through observations, learning documentation, portfolios, electronic programming and developmental records
- Build real, respectful relationships with children and families, and talk regularly and professionally with parents, guardians and co-workers
- Partner with other educators to give care that is consistent and of a high standard
- Stick to workplace policies, child safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Work within the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards
- Join in training, professional development and team activities
Requirements & Eligibility
- Either holding a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or currently studying for it
- Diploma-qualified candidates are also encouraged to apply
- Truly passionate about looking after and educating young children
- Keen to set up a long-term career in the Australian early childhood sector
- A warm, patient and upbeat manner with children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Builds trust easily with children, families and colleagues

- Enthusiastic, energetic and eager to learn, with a flexible, open mind when working with children and educators
- Knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, National Regulations and National Quality Standards
- Comfortable with computers and electronic documentation systems
- Current Queensland Blue Card or the ability to get one
- Can successfully complete a National Police Check
- First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training, or ready to obtain the required certifications
- Overseas candidates must satisfy applicable qualification and ACECQA assessment requirements
- English language proficiency right for the relevant visa pathway
- Can satisfy applicable Australian visa and sponsorship conditions
