You will drive the kitchen forward. The job mixes hands-on cooking with improving the menu, coordinating the team and running daily operations. Your own menu ideas are welcome, as long as the food stays consistent and high quality.

The role offers responsibility, career progression and a stable workplace. On-site accommodation, internet access and meals while working are also available. Tip: if you have kitchen papers in Indonesian, get English translations ready as the visa rules require.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the kitchen's overall performance, organising daily prep and operations
  • Lead and back up the kitchen team during service, and help train and develop staff
  • Cook high-quality meals from a varied commercial menu, with steaks and other core dishes done well every time
  • Look at the current menu and suggest improvements; create new dinner, takeaway and dine-in options and refresh the breakfast menu
  • Keep food quality, presentation and portions consistent
  • Get prep ready for high-volume rushes and keep kitchen workflows efficient
  • Track inventory and arrange restocking, using food wisely to cut unnecessary waste
  • Keep an eye on food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
  • Work with management to make the whole food operation better
  • Keep professional standards in every service

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Demonstrated professional work as a Chef, including time in a busy commercial or high-volume kitchen
  • Strong cooking and food prep ability, with a proven talent for cooking steaks to a high standard
  • Experience in developing or improving menus
  • Can run kitchen responsibilities independently, with strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Works well at a fast pace, with close attention to food quality and consistency
  • Good communication and organisation
  • Able to work a rotating roster and willing to live on-site as required
  • Committed to workplace safety and food hygiene standards
  • A relevant culinary qualification and/or strong equivalent industry experience
