Key Responsibilities
- Keep developing your cooking knowledge and kitchen skills
- Prepare and serve high-quality food in a professional kitchen, using advanced techniques so each dish looks right and stays consistent
- Help run the kitchen each day, across prep, service and coordination
- Work as one team with the other chefs and hospitality staff so service runs smoothly, and help build a positive, efficient culture in a busy kitchen
- Use your strong knowledge of food handling, cooking methods and kitchen procedures
- Check quality at every stage of food production
- Follow workplace health and safety rules and food hygiene requirements
- Handle many tasks at once when service is very busy
Requirements & Eligibility
- You are a qualified Chef with recognised culinary qualifications and relevant industry experience, and you can show real hands-on cooking skills
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a quality hotel, restaurant or similar professional kitchen
- You have a strong understanding of food preparation, service standards and how a kitchen operates, and you have worked in a structured hospitality environment before
- You can provide a verified employment background and professional references
- You have strong skills in teamwork, communication and solving problems
- You are committed to high standards for food quality and the customer experience
- You are a motivated professional who wants long-term career development in Australia
