A busy hospitality venue in Tahmoor, Sydney, New South Wales needs a Chef with real hands-on experience across multiple kitchen sections. You must be able to cook quality food every time, even in busy service. The team works in a modern, purpose-built kitchen. The menu mixes well-loved favourites with fresh, seasonal dishes.
The best person will bring proven cooking skills, strong work habits and the reliability to grow with the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
- Get ingredients, equipment and stations ready before each service
- Cook on and look after the grill, pans, fryers and larder sections
- Make classic dishes and seasonal specials to the kitchen's standards, with the same quality, portion and look every time
- Change meals when it makes sense so customers with dietary needs are looked after
- Check that ingredients are good quality, fresh and stored correctly
- Watch stock levels, help order supplies, rotate stock and reduce waste
- Keep the kitchen very clean and well organised, following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety rules
- Work fast and well in busy, time-pressured services
- Talk clearly with the other chefs and kitchen staff
- Share useful ideas for better menus and new dishes
- Help the kitchen run smoothly in a business that trades seven days a week
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven professional work as a Chef
- Hands-on experience on grill, pans, fryers and larder
- Can show culinary work experience that is genuine and can be checked
- Strong practical knowledge of how professional kitchens run
- Keeps quality and consistency high in busy services, with strong attention to food quality and presentation
- Knows food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
- Understands stock management and how to reduce waste
- Can work alone and still be a strong part of the team
- Positive and dependable about workplace duties
- Happy to work day, evening and weekend shifts
- Current Food Safety Certificate
- Committed to full-time employment for the required period; sponsorship consideration available for exceptional candidates after six months of full-time employment
