Key Responsibilities
- Work across different stations to produce top-quality food, and run an assigned section when required
- Do ingredient prep and keep stock at the right levels
- Send out every dish at the quality and presentation standard required
- Follow the kitchen's systems, recipes and service procedures, and meet food safety and hygiene requirements at every moment
- Stay efficient when service is busy and help kitchen operations run in a coordinated way
- Talk clearly with fellow Chefs and the restaurant team
- Help train and develop junior staff
- Share ideas that lift food quality and kitchen performance
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial cookery experience gained previously is preferred
- Desirable: relevant qualifications, according to the level of the role
- Apprentices as well as junior, qualified and senior Chefs are suitable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and how a kitchen operates
- Committed to high standards of food quality and presentation, and understands food safety and hygiene procedures
- Can handle several tasks at once and work under pressure
- A positive attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate within a professional team
- For experienced and senior-level applicants, leadership skills are preferred
