Want a steady, long-term job in a kitchen? This permanent full-time role is in an aged-care catering setting in Rooty Hill, Sydney NSW. You will cook quality meals for the residents who live there.
The roster runs Sunday to Thursday, and the workplace is supportive. If you have cooked South American food before, that experience is especially welcome.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook healthy, nutritious meals for residents and keep quality and presentation consistent
- Change meals to suit each resident's dietary and texture needs, following IDDSI requirements for modified meals
- Keep food safety and hygiene standards high
- Stay efficient when the kitchen is busy
- Work closely with both the kitchen team and the care team
- Help prepare and plan menus
- Check stock levels and support ordering
- Keep food costs under control and cut unnecessary waste
- Offer variety with meal options that suit residents' cultures
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Cooking qualifications relevant to the role
- A genuine interest in preparing quality food
- Experience with South American cuisine is preferred, and knowledge of Brazilian, Peruvian, Colombian, Argentinian or Chilean cuisine is advantageous
- A background in high-volume food production
- Understanding of dietary requirements, plus strong food safety and hygiene practices
- Good teamwork and communication
- Aged-care experience is desirable
- IDDSI experience is desirable
- Australian working rights, or eligibility for sponsorship
- Sponsorship is on offer for the successful applicant
